You can find the most up to date information and contact details for these local organisations on the Herts Directory at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/foodsupport or by calling hertshelp on 0300 123 4044. You’ll usually need to get a referral to a food bank before you can use it. Community supermarkets
Community supermarkets are a new way to help anybody struggling with the cost of the weekly shop access fresh food and everyday essentials for less. Each item is priced at under £1, and you can shop up to 20 items per visit. Your first eight visits are free,then you pay a small charge per visit on top of your shop. Community spaces
