Event Location: Main locations will be the Recreation Ground, plus Blacksmiths pond and Toot Hill
Community Action Day
SUNDAY APRIL 3rd: 12 noon - 4pm
Can you spare a couple of hours to help maintain our fabulous village environment?
We are looking for volunteers of all ages to come and work with us to protect and enhance our lovely surroundings for everyone to enjoy (Please note that parents are to supervise their children at all times)
Tasks will include:
- Work at the Recreation Ground: Lay bark on muddy footpath exits, litter picking. leaf clearance and tidying ditches. Benches to be sanded and oiled. Tidy up of the Children's play area
- Work at Toot Hill: Raking/tidying the mound, laying bark at muddy entrances and exits from the Bury, litter picking, painting the information board and tidying and oiling the bench, plus branch tidying at the Bury before the cows come back on.
- Work at BlackSmiths Pond. Tidying of area around bench and bench cleaning, plus painting of a second coat of white paint on the rails and black paint on the brackets (paint available)
- Tidy up behind Baulk Gardens - litter picking and general tidy up

Refreshments will be available at the Recreation Ground Pavilion provided by local groups and all profits will go to these groups' local funds
There will also be a children's flower hunt and colouring in activity at the Recreation Ground clubhouse, plus a Scavenger Hunt at St. Mary's Church (details in the Church Porch)
