HOLWELL ROAD EXTENSION TO 30MPH SPEED LIMIT

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, PIRTON) (30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2021

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve / maintain road safety and resolve administrative errors on an existing Order, proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a new 30 mph speed limit Order, which will introduce an extension to the current 30mph speed limit in part of Holwell Road, Pirton and replace the current 30mph speed limit Order affecting various other roads in Pirton, thereby imposing a revised 30mph speed limit as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be inspected from 8 July 2021 during normal office hours at Main Reception, Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertford, or may be viewed on line at

SCHEDULE: 30 mph speed limit – effecting those sections of road herein listed and as set out in the Order and accompanying plans – Parts of – Hambridge Way, Hitchin Road, Holwell Road and Shillington Road.

Entire lengths of – Bunyan Close, Burge End Lane, Bury End, Colemans Close, Crabtree Lane, Cromwell Way, Danefield Road,

Davis Crescent, Docklands, Franklin Close, Great Green, High Street, Little Lane, Pollards Way, Priors Hill, Royal Oak Lane, St Mary’s

Close, Walnut Tree Road and West Lane.
